Asked by the press if it was fair of ministers to attend party gatherings in the run-up to local elections set for 19 May, Pusic said it was very important that politicians went among people and talked with them.
Asked to comment on the fact that the HNS had not met the quota of a minimum of 40 per cent of women on election slates, she said this required constant work and that women should be enabled to engage in politics.
She said the slates should have 52 per cent of women candidates in line with their share in the population.
