Under the law, the agency insures unpaid wages for the last three months before bankruptcy proceedings are launched, up to the amount of the minimum wage in the country.
Under the latest data, the minimum wage is HRK 2,814 (approx. 375 euros), the minister said, adding that the government would soon pass a regulation to increase the minimum wage.
The agency also insures unpaid compensation for sick leave, owed annual leave, and severance packages.
