Stanicic said such offices existed in all European Union capitals, representing citizens' contact with the European Parliament. The office also cooperates with civil society organisations, she added.
In light of Croatia's EU accession on July 1, the office will work hard on informing citizens and encouraging them to vote for Croatian members of the European Parliament, the statement said.
Leko voiced confidence that the office would benefit both Croatian citizens and future Croatian MEPs as well as cooperate with the Croatian parliament.
