ZAGREB, Feb 22
(Hina) - Members of the Franak association, a civil
action group representing citizens who took loans pegged to the Swiss
franc, told a press conference on Friday that they welcomed the
government's announcement to intervene in determining interest rates
but urged that this be regulated by law and not by mere decision of
the finance minister which could succumb to political pressure and
current political will. They further suggested that they be included
in preparing amendments and supplements to the Law on Financial
Institutions.
