The December contract proved unable to hold resistance at 74.00, but trade scale down buying held the market above nearby support pegged at 72.60. Market sources expect prices to continue to slip lower in the coming weeks following bearish data released in last week's USDA supply and demand report. Merrill Lynch analyst Judith Ganes cited reports of improved yields in crops in the U.S. Southeast. The spot contract ended down 1.00 at 73.12, having ranged from 74.00 to 73.22.
