Speculative and trade buying carried December delivery over resistance, pegged at 74.00 cents a lb. Traders are now looking at 75.00 as the next level. Sharon Johnson, an analyst with Frank Schneider and Co Inc, said the December contract found enough support at 73.00 and is now trying to establish the highs for the week. "We were down nearly 300 points total Thursday and Friday and we've only recovered some," she said. December ended up 0.69 at 74.12, having ranged from 74.40 to 73.65. The back months closed 0.75 higher to 0.10 lower. Support was seen at 70.00 in December. Volume was estimated at 6,000 lots. 161147 MET oct 96
