Renewed weakness in New York cotton futures on Friday, following a strong recovery during the previous two trading sessions, also had the effect of restricting buying interest, they added. While offers of U.S. and Australian cottons tended lower in sympathy with the futures market, asking rates for most other cottons remained unaltered. 231229 MET dec 97
