ZAGREB, Dec 10
(Hina) - On Monday, Human Rights Day, the
nongovernmental organisation "Circle for the Square", marked the day
by tying hundreds of white roses to the railing outside the Zagreb
University Chancellory building in remembrance of several hundred
students killed in 1945 on the Bleiburg field in Austria in the wake
of World War II and in the death marches that followed. The NGO called
on the University's administration to support their request that the
square in which the Chancellory stands be renamed and not carry the
name of former Yugoslav ruler Josip Broz Tito - (Trg marsala Tita).
