The two-day event was opened by Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina, who said Croatia could be proud its winemaking and that it would have plenty to offer when it joined the European Union next July.

(Hina) - The 7th International Wine and Culinary Art
Festival was opened in Zagreb's Esplanade hotel on Friday, bringing
together more than 250 exhibitors from Croatia and abroad, including
nearly all Croatian winemakers and food producers, notably of
prosciutto, olive oil and kulen (a spicy salami).
