A panel of judges presided over by Ivan Turudic will hand down the ruling at 10 am on Tuesday after more than a year of trial in the Hypo bank and INA-MOL cases.
The prosecution contends that Sanader is a war profiteer because in 1994 he took a commission from the Austrian Hypo bank, and that he betrayed national interests by selling management rights in the Croatian oil company INA to Hungary's MOL for EUR 10 million.
The defence argues that no charge was proved.
The media crews accredited to cover the trial include the BBC, Reuters, China's Xinhua, Agence France-Presse, Associated Press, Slovenian Radio and Television, Austria's ORF public broadcaster, and Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung.
Although no TV crew from neighbouring countries such as Bosnia or Serbia sought accreditation to cover the beginning of the trial, a Serbian TV station did so for the verdict.
Accreditation may be sought until Monday.
