ZAGREB, Nov 14
(Hina) - The prosecutor in the first trial of the
former Prime Minister and former president of the Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) party, Ivo Sanader, said in her closing statement before
the Zagreb County Court on Wednesday that the prosecution requested
the harshest sentence of 15 years for Sanader due to his involvement
in murky dealings with MOL and Hypo bank which were detrimental to the
Croatian state interests.
