Autor: half
WASHINGTON/ZAGREB, Oct 25 (Hina) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania and Croatia between October 29 and November 2, the State Department announced on Wednesday.

In Zagreb, Clinton will meet with the most senior state officials to "discuss Croatia's role as a NATO ally, its upcoming entry to the European Union in 2013, and its economic situation."

Clinton will visit Bosnia, Serbia, and Kosovo together with the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, to promote Euro-Atlantic integration.

Clinton visited those three countries in October 2010 and will "demonstrate the enduring U.S. interest, commitment and support for (the Balkans') future in the European and Euro-Atlantic community."

In Sarajevo, Clinton and Ashton "will stress the immutability of the international community's commitment to the Dayton Peace Accords" and "underline the urgent need for party leaders to serve the interests of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina and accomplish necessary reforms."

In Belgrade and Pristina, Clinton and Ashton "will reiterate U.S.-EU resolve for Serbia and Kosovo to build on previous agreements and advance their dialogue, as well as to encourage concrete steps that will allow those countries to progress on their respective paths to EU membership."
