The goal of the exercise is to expand cooperation, the training and inter-operability of participating countries' militaries in order to strengthen regional security and stability, said Brigadier General Ivan Juric, exercise deputy commander.
The exercise is taking place in Croatia for the second time, which testifies to the trust in Croatia as a host and reliable partner, he added.
The participating countries are Croatia, the United States, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
Representatives of seven countries will participate as observers.
As part of the exercise, the US government is financing two humanitarian projects in Croatia, it was said.
