ZAGREB, April 12
(Hina) - Former assistant defence minister Josip
Perkovic said at the Zagreb County Court on Thursday that Tomislav
Mercep had been the real commander of the police reserve unit
stationed at Pakracka Poljana about which field reports had arrived
with complaints about its lack of professionalism, suspected criminal
activity and mistreatment of civilians, of which he said the state
leadership had been aware.
