On her first visit to Vienna since she stepped into office, Pusic thanked Austria for its support to Croatia on its path towards EU membership "from the beginning and, first and foremost, in the difficult times."
Spindelegger vowed that Austria would ratify Croatia's EU Accession Treaty before its parliament's summer recess.
Austria and Croatia reiterated their advocacy of the EU accession of the other countries in the region as well.
Croatia is blazing the trail, but there are other countries that should be supported, said Spindelegger.
"The region's countries can use Croatia's experience on their path to the European Union because they are starting from a similar point as Croatia and will have to overcome the same difficulties," said Pusic.
Regarding the restitution of property to Austrians that was seized by the former Yugoslavia after World War Two, Spindelegger asked Croatia to act swiftly.
We expect the government to quickly enact what it has promised, he said, adding that Austria would welcome such steps.
Pusic said the Croatian Justice Ministry was drafting a law on the restitution of seized property, adding that it should be ready by the summer.
She said today's talks also addressed the preservation of the rights of the Burgenland Croats and that Spindelegger agreed they should be preserved. The Burgenland Croats are an important link between Croatia and Austria, she said.
Pusic is also scheduled to hold talks with Austrian President Heinz Fischer and Parliament Speaker Barbara Prammer.
