Croatia's accession to the European Union is an important step, but the other countries should not be ignored either, Spindelegger was quoted by Austrian news agency APA as saying after the meeting.
Croatia's membership of the Union is important, because the Western Balkans region needs additional impetus to carry out further reforms, Erjavec said.
Spindelegger and Erjavec said Austria and Slovenia had excellent relations, with Erjavec stressing that Austria was Slovenia's important trading partner.
Erjavec was visiting Austria a day after his official visit to Croatia.
