The newspaper quoted the Bosnian Federation's Transport and Communications Minister Enver Bijedic as saying that the Airbus A319 would be returned to Turkish Airlines in order to preserve the company, which is majority-owned by the Bosnian Federation, the Bosniak-Croat entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
BH Airlines will now be left with only two smaller ATR aircraft.
"In that way we would keep the company and the routes that would be relatively profitable. The current situation is not profitable and there's not enough money in the budget for subsidies," Bijedic said.
BH Airlines annually receives about 3.4 million euros in state aid.
Dnevni Avaz said that BH Airlines was now operating only one route, Sarajevo-Istanbul, with one aircraft, while the other two were under repair. All other flights have been cancelled.
