BJELOVAR, Nov 25 (Hina) - The UN Force commander in former Yugoslavia,
General Jean Cot, met with Croatian military, police and civilian
authorities in Pakrac on Thursday afternoon. The meeting was held ahead
of tomorrow's talks with Serb authorities in Sector West, which will
focus on a UNPROFOR-sponsored cease-fire agreement.
General Cot said that the tension in the Sector had eased in the last
15 days, stressing he was confident the cease-fire agreement would be
signed.
Brigadier Josip Tomsic, Croatian Army commander in the Bjelovar area,
said he expected the cease-fire agreement to be signed despite minor
armed provocations from the Serb-held areas.
