OSIJEK, Nov 19 (Hina) - Luka Matin (1920), who arrived Thursday
in Osijek from occupied Erdut (UNPA East) escorted by UNHCR, met
Friday with journalists and talked about his family tragedy and
terror in Erdut.
According to Matin, the family house where he had lived together
with his wife Marija (1922) was hit by explosive device on 9
November. His wife was seriously wounded and transported to the
Vukovar hospital where she died after several days. After the
funeral, Luka requested from UNHCR to be brought to Osijek
because of personal security. Serb paramilitary formations led by
Zeljko Raznatovic Arkan looted the Matin's family house.
