HVO SPOKESMAN LODGES A PROTEST WITH GEN. BRIQUEMONT

MOSTAR, Nov 12 (Hina) - The spokesman for the Croatian Defence Council (HVO), Veso Vegar, on Friday lodged a protest with General Briquemont, UNPROFOR commander in Bosnia-Herzegovina, asking that UNPROFOR should act in line with its mandate and refrain from taking sides in the conflict. Vegar said that the UNPROFOR Nordic Battalion at Vares, central Bosnia, entered a zone where HVO forces had been deployed and with its presence prevented HVO troops from replying to Moslem attacks.
