ZAGREB, Nov. 12 (Hina) - At the proposal by the Amnesty Committee, the
Croatian President Dr.Franjo Tudjman issued pardons on Nov 11 for prison
sentences of a number of persons of Serbian nationality who had been
charged for preparing armed rebellion against the Republic of Croatia, but
did not commit murders, a President's Office release says.
By this act of mercy President Croatian President took into consideration
the amnesty requests those persons had sent to him from Belgrade in which
they had shown loyalty to the Republic of Croatia where they want to live
together with their families and which they consider as their country, the
release said.
