ZAGREB, Nov 11 (Hina) - The UN Security Council adopted Tuesday evening
the Presidential Statement considering the current situation in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
Following is the full text of the Statement:
"The Security Council expresses its deep concern at the reports on the
deterioration of the situation in Central Bosnia where increased military
activities are seriously threatening security of the civilian population.
The Security Council demands that all parties and others concerned refrain
from taking any action that threatens the safety and well-being of the
civilian population.
The Security Council is equally concerned at the overall humanitarian
situation prevailing in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It reiterates its demand to all parties and others concerned to guarantee
unimpeded access for humanitarian assistance.
The Security Council, aware of the heavy burden that these developments
add to the existing precarious humanitarian situation of the refugees and
displaced persons in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the
surrounding countries, calls on all parties to assist the competent United
Nations agencies and other humanitarian organizations in their efforts to
provide relief to the affected civilian population in those countries.
The Security Council urges all parties and others concerned to exert the
utmost restraint and refrain from taking any action which might exacerbate
the situation."
