ZAGREB, Nov 10 (Hina) - An UNPROFOR spokesperson in Zagreb on Wednesday
condemned Serb forces besieging Gorazde, eastern Bosnia, for deliberately
attacking several times UN military observers based in that Moslem enclave.
The spokesperson said that on Tuesday the Serbs opened fire from a
multiple rocket launcher at the quarters of the UN observers.
"They fired five shells which fell from 5 to 10 metres from the place
where the UN military observers were quartered," said the spokesperson.
He added that none of the observers had been wounded, but that the attack
had killed four civilians, of whom two children and a woman.
The UNPROFOR spokesperson warned that the military observers in Gorazde
had been a target of several Serb attacks, adding that two shells had hit
the area less than two hundred metres from the observers' base on Monday.
Eight UN military observers are currently deployed in Gorazde.
