SPECIAL HVO REPORT AGAINST NORDIC UNPROFOR BATTALION

MOSTAR, Nov 7 (Hina) - Concerning the Sunday's events near the village of Dastansko near Vares, the Main HVO HQ issued a special report stating that the UNPROFOR Nordic Battalion openly stepped on the Muslim side. The UNPROFOR soldiers occupied the village Dastansko, elevation 202, cut the communication line between Dastansko and Brgule, thus preventing the HVO maneuvering. They also brought cannon reconnoiters who reported to the Muslims on the HVO movements, stated the report. The HVO forces, helped by the forces of the Serbian Republic, surrounded the elevation and disarmed the UNPROFOR soldiers. HVO lodged a fierce protest with the UNPROFOR and gave an ultimatum that the UNPROFOR leave Dastansko by 18:00 Sunday. The UNPROFOR left Dastansko at 15:00, following which the HVO counterattacked the Muslim aggressors, taking control of Alijino Korito and Borak, said the report. 080912 MET nov 93
