MEETING OF UNPROFOR FOR B-H AND HVO HQ

MOSTAR, Nov 8 (Hina) - A meeting between the representatives of UNPROFOR Command for B-H and the Main HVO HQ was held Sunday in Divulje near Split, it was reported from the Main HVO HQ. UNPROFOR was headed by Gen.Briquemont with associates. Gen.Milivoj Petkovic, Deputy Commander of the Main HVO HQ. represented the HVO. The talks revolved around the evacuation of the Muslim wounded, construction of the Bijela bridge (on the road between Mostar and Jablanica), restoration and supplying electricity grid in central Bosnia, establishment of the hot line between UNPROFOR Command in Kiseljak and Main HVO HQ. The Croatian side said that it would continue to respect the agreement between Granic and Silajdzic on the release of prisoners. It stated that it had done everything to enable the evacuation of the Muslim wounded from the left bank of Neretva to Zenica, which was to take place Sunday, but the Muslim side would not cooperate, the report said. The Croatian side agreed to the restoration of the electric installations for Sarajevo electric supply, but stipulated that electricity be brought to Vitez, Busovaca and Novi Travnik and other HVO-controlled areas. The Croatian side asked to bring a food shipment to Prozor through UNPROFOR, to enable supply of fuel and water to the Nova Bila hospital, and that UNPROFOR help in the evacuation of remaining Croats from Vares. The order for the establishment of a hot line had already been given. The UNPROFOR representatives for B-H gave full guarantees to answer those demands, concluded the HVO report. 080842 MET nov 93
