MOSTAR, Nov 16 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb forces were trying all the day
to break through the newly-established Croatian Defence Council
(HVO) lines on the Kupres front, southwestern Bosnia, but they
failed, Herzeg-Bosnian defence officials said this evening.
The HVO soldiers repelled all attacks, and no casualties were
reported among them.
More than 120 artillery shells fell on the HVO positions and
the civilian targets during the Serb assaults on the front,
according to the same sources.
The President of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Kresimir Zubak, and the HVO headquarters chief-of-staff Major
General Tihomir Blaskic today visited the defence lines on the
Kupres front, the same sources said.
