ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - The Bosnian government army and Serb forces
today continued fierce fighting in the Bihac pocket, west Bosnia,
UN Zagreb headquarters said.
Intense clashes were reported along the front line between the
strategic Grabez plateu and the village of Ripac.
The frontline is less than seven kilometres from Bihac and the
UN feared Serb forces would attack the town itself.
UN observers also registered the severe shelling of Cazin,
which they said most likely came from Serb-held parts of Croatia.
But the UN was unable to confirm the report because of limited UN
movement in the area.
The Bosnian embassy in Zagreb said rebel Croatian Serb forces
in the UNPA this morning attacked Velika Kladusa and Bihac with
long-range heavy artillery and multiple-barrel rocket launchers.
The Bosnian army Fifth Corps said several missiles hit Bihac
town overnight and fierce Serb infantry attacks from occupied
Croatian areas were continuing.
