ZAGREB, Nov 5 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian Government Office
for displaced persons and refugees, Dr. Adalbert Rebic, today
received Norwegian Parliament Speaker, Ms. Kirsti Kolle Groendhal,
who stopped in Croatia on her way to Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Office
said in a statement.
Dr. Rebic informed his guest of the current situation in
providing accommodation and care for about 400,000 displaced people
and refugees in Croatia.
He expressed gratitude to Norway for its humanitarian aid
dispatched to this country and its financial assistance in
constructing the refugee village of Kovacevac near Nova Gradiska.
The Norwegian Parliament Speaker said she was impressed by
Croatian Government's efforts to solve problems in connection of
care for so many refugees. She promised that her country would
continue sending relief aid to Croatia, the statement said.
