SARAJEVO, Nov 3 (Hina) - Bosnian Prime Minister Haris Silajdzic
officially proposed forming a special commission to control the
implementation of the Federation's Constitution and assist the
Croat and Bosniac sides in solving open issues.
Silajdzic made that proposal yesterday during talks with the
Turkish Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina.
He said that besides Turkish ambassador Tufan, the Commission
should include US and German ambassadors in Sarajevo.
Silajdzic today told the Sarajevo daily Oslobodjenje that the
establishment of the Federation was a very complicated process.
The Bosnian Government wanted the process to develop at a
faster pace which was why ambassadors representing the USA, Germany
and Turkey were asked to participate in the process and offer their
'good favours'.
"We're not going to ask them to judge, but to contribute to
the more efficient realization of the Federal project," Silajdzic
said.
Oslobodjenje also ran a statement by US Ambassador Victor
Jakovich saying that the USA welcomed every step towards
strengthening the Federation.
German Ambassador Johannes Praisinger described the proposal
as 'completely logical'.
While Ambassador Tufan said he was sure that his Government
would support the proposal.
