ZAGREB, Oct 6 (Hina) - Bosnian Serbs were limiting the amount of
fuel that could be transported to Sarajevo despite last Saturday's
agreement on convoys being allowed to move freely, UN spokeman Paul
Risley said today at a Zagreb press conference.
"The Bosnian Serbs agreed on a specified number of UN convoys
being allowed to enter Sarajevo," Risley said.
But the Serbs were restricting the amount of fuel that convoys
could transport.
The fuel was indispensable for UNPROFOR operations, he said.
Only one UNPROFOR logistics convoy entered the Bosnian capital
after the agreement was signed by Bosnian Serb military commanders
on Saturday.
The conditions that the Serbs were setting for clearances for
the free passage of convoys were "unacceptable to UNPROFOR", Risley
said.
He said UNPROFOR was continuing to pressure Serbs into giving
unconditional clearance to UN convoys entering Sarajevo.
