MEETING OF NEW YORK CROATS HELD

NEW YORK, Oct 16 (Hina) - The first annual meeting of Croats was last night held at the Croatian center in New York. The meeting was organized by the Croatian-American Association which aim is to strengthen the Croatian-American lobby for New York. About 250 Croats and the US congressmen, democrat Benjamin Gilman and republican Jerold Nadler, attended the meeting. The congressmen said that the USA supported Croatia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Gilman supported the reintegration of UN Protected Areas (UNPAs) of Croatia and said that Croatia had a constructive role in solving the problem by peaceful means.
