ZAGREB, Sep 15 (Hina) -The Croatian Government has sent a protest
letter to the UN Security Council over Tuesday's Bosnian Serb
attack on Zupanja, eastern Slavonia, where the town was hit by 30
shells, Prime Minister, Nikica Valentic told today's Government
session.
The letter warns that the attack endangers peace and threatens
Croatia's security, Prime Minister Valentic said.
Speaking on the teachers' strike, the Prime Minister said
almost all kindergartens, 90 percent of primary schools and at
least 70 percent of high schools were today functioning normally.
The Prime Minister once again called on the few teachers
continuing to strike, to return to work tomorrow.
He also repeated that the Government had fulfilled its
obligations under the social peace agreement, signed by the
Government and trade unions.
