ZAGREB, Sep 7 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Nikica Valentic said
at today's Government session that the letter of intent, sent to
the International Monetary Fund (IMF), would be presented to the
public today.
The letter of intent for stand by arrangement shows the entire
policy of the Croatian Government in the next period, said governor
of the Croatian National Bank (NBH) Pero Jurkovic. He added that
the letter described the Croatian economic policy in the next
period, measures that the Government and other institutions should
adopt by 30 September and criteria for the implementation of the
program.
Jurkovic said that the IMF managing board would be in session
on 14 October. On 15 October, we will get loans to the amount of US
$ 250 millions, he said.
According to recent data, Croatia's currency reserves are over
US $ 2 billion. Prices are reduced and salaries increased, said the
Government's session which also discussed several bills.
