ZAGREB, Sep 7, (Hina)- Slovakia's Defence Minister, Pavel Kaniz,
today visited Zagreb where he met with Croatia's deputy Defence
Minister, Josip Juras.
They discussed the current situation in Croatia and in Bosnia-
Hercegovina (BiH), a statement from Croatia's Defence Ministry
said.
Minister Juras told Kaniz that Croatia wanted to solve its
problems in a democratic way, not with war.
UNPROFOR would be most efficient if its troops were arranged
on the internationally accepted borders of Croatia, BiH and
Serbia, Juras said.
He said it would be necessary to open certain routes,
including the partially-occupied Zagreb-Belgrade highway and the
Zagreb-Split railway, if the UNPROFOR mandate were to be extended.
He also said that Croatia wanted BiH to be one country with
the same laws for all three nationalities living their.
The ministers discussed technical and material co-operation
between Croatia and Slovakia. The Slovakian Defence Minister,
Kaniz, invited his Croatian counterparts to visit Slovakia.
