ZAGREB, Sep 7 (Hina) - Slovene and Croatian finance ministers,
Mitja Gaspari and Bozo Prka, talked today in Zagreb about the
status of savers of the Ljubljana Bank and other issues.
The ministers held a press conference after the meeting.
"We think that we will protect interests of Croatian savers of
the Ljubljana Bank by negotiations," said Gaspari. Open issues
between the two countries are still the issue on the Piran Bay and
the status of the Krsko nuclear electric power plant. We think that
those issues can be solved in a package, he said.
The Croatian side will insist on solving the problem on the
debt of the Ljubljana Bank to Croatian citizens as soon as
possible, while other issues should be the subject of the
interstate agreement, said the Croatian finance minister.
