ZAGREB, July 4 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman received
this evening members of the French Parliamentary Commission on
foreign affairs led by Jean Bernard Raymond.
The talks focused on a peaceful reintegration of the Croatian
occupied areas (UNPAs) into Croatia's constitutional and legal
system, the UNPROFOR mandate and relations between Croatia and
France. They also talked about the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and possibilities for ending the war in Bosnia by negotiations.
During the talks, President Tudjman expressed hope that the
Croatian-French relations will develop with the aim of
strengthening the European integration in which Croatia should take
its deserved place.
The meeting was attended by vice-chairman of the Croatian
Parliament's House of Representatives Zarko Domljan, Deputy Foreign
Minister Ivo Sanader, head of the National Security Office Hrvoje
Sarinic, President Tudjman's adviser for foreign policy Zeljko
Matic, General Zvonimir Cervenko and Croatian Ambassador in Paris
Branko Salaj.
Members of the French delegation are to visit the Croatian
Parliament and meet with members of the House of Representatives'
foreign policy committee tomorrow.
