ZAGREB, July 4 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Monday
met for talks with the director general of the commercial bank
Privredna Banka Zagreb, Martin Katicic.
Speaking of the business outlook of the Bank, Katicic said
that big public companies financed by foreign loans, such as Belje,
Gavrilovic, Zeljezara Sisak and Djuro Djakovic, presented a major
problem. Today, Privredna Banka has to pay off those loans together
with the USD 63 million loan for failed investment in an alumina
plant in the Serb-occupied town of Obrovac in UNPA South, Katicic
said.
President Tudjman was accompanied by Prime Minister Nikica
Valentic, head of the Presidential Office Jure Radic, Governor of
the National Bank Of Croatia Pero Jurkovic and two economy
advisors, Granjo Greguric and Djuro Njavro.
