ZAGREB, Jun 8 (Hina) - "We have agreed that each party will hold
internal consultations until Friday, when a date will be set for
the continuation of talks," said Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)
secretary general Jure Radic after today's meeting between HDZ and
opposition representatives, which lasted for an hour and half.
The opposition representatives only briefly confirmed Radic's
statement, declining to elaborate any further.
The HDZ and the opposition disagree over the interpretation of
the May 18 inter-party deal on the reshuffle of key parliamentary
offices after the speakers of both Houses left the HDZ and founded
another party. Opposition parties have been boycotting the sittings
for three weeks now.
