GENEVA, May 7 (Hina) - Croatian Ambassador to the U.N. in Geneva
Miomir Zuzul met Friday afternoon with Yugoslav Deputy Prime
Minister Zeljko Simic.
The meeting focused on the resumption of talks on the
normalization of the relations between the two countries.
Both sides estimated that after a good beginning, the talks
came to a standstill. During the meeting, they said that the
conflict in the former Yugoslavia might escalate and that it was
necessary to find a way to put an end to the conflict. Simic
expressed willingness to encourage attempts in search of a peaceful
solution to the crisis in the former Yugoslavia, which would be
acceptable for both sides.
