ZAGREB, May 4 (Hina) - The composition of the Government has fully
been worked out during talks on the arrangement of the Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bosnian Deputy Prime Minister Edib Bukvic
said in an interview with Croatian television late Tuesday night
speaking of the implementation of the Washington agreement.
"One of the key issues is the cantonal delimitation. This and
appointment of state officials will be left for the end of talks,"
Bukvic said, adding that principles according to which cantons
would be organized were still at issue. "Although it was agreed in
Vienna that cantons could not be organized according to a national
principle, but that both the majority and minority nations in each
of the cantons should be guaranteed equal rights, there were still
attempts to organize the cantonts according to the national
principle," Bukvic stressed.
The Bosnian deputy prime minister expressed hope that the
Croatian and Bosnian foreign ministers would continue talks at the
US embassy in Vienna later this week.
Asked about the return of refugees, Bukvic said some were
already returning to their homes. "For instance, Croats are
returning to Vares from Fojnica in quite large numbers, although no
agreement about it has been reached," Bukvic said and added he
thought about a thousand of them had returned.
