SISAK, May 2 (Hina) - The tension between local residents and UN
personnel in Moscenica eased Monday evening after UN peace-keepers
had taken down a Croatian flag from the community centre earlier
today.
Moscenica is situated in the so-called blue zone near Sisak,
50 km southeast of Zagreb. The blue zone is the area of
disengagement of Croatian and Serb rebel forces.
Representatives of Moscenica, the Sisak police department and
the UN Protection Force in Sector North held three-hour-long talks
in the afternoon after which the road blocks, put up by local
residents at noon, were removed.
Moscenica residents again hoisted a Croatian flag on the
community centre.
