MOSTAR, Apr 7 (Hina) - Meetings of the war-separated families and
relatives from eastern and western Mostar have commenced today in
the centre of the town where the department store of "Hit" had been
located before the war. Such meetings of 50 persons from each part
of Mostar are to take place next several days.
On Thursday 47 persons from the left bank of the Neretva River
(eastern Mostar) and 44 persons from the right bank (western Mostar
met twice under protection of the civilian police of the Moslem
(Bosniac) and Croatian side. Today's first meeting lasted from
10:00 to 12:00 hrs, whereas the other took place from 13:00 to
15:00 this afternoon, at which representatives of the Spanish
UNPROFOR battalion and UNHCR were present as well, reported the
Herzeg-Bosnia's News Agency (HABENA) on Thursday evening.
