VITEZ, March 5 (Hina) - Barring occasional sniper and small-arms
provocations, the cease-fire was mainly respected in the Lasva
River Valley on Saturday, said the local Croatian Defence Council
(HVO) command.
According to the Vitez-based HVO command, the Croat and Moslem
sides are discussing the demarcation maps with British UNPROFOR
officials, said a Hina correspondent from Vitez.
Bosnian Serbs living in the Lasva Valley who obtained HVO
authorisation to leave the area did not yet obtain the
authorisation of the Moslem army to cross the Moslem-controlled
territory. According to the Vitez-based HVO command, the Moslem
side is witholding the authorisation until Bosnian Serb authorities
reveal the whereabouts of 2,000 missing Moslems from Prijedor and
Banja Luka (north-western Bosnia).
The HVO and Bosnian army commissions on missing persons at
yesterday's meeting in Zenica that HVO prisons in Busovaca and
Zepce and Moslem prisons in Bugojno, Travnik and Zenica would be
closed next week. The Moslem side consented to grant amnesty to
five HVO soldiers, who have already been sentenced to prison terms.
