MOSTAR, May 12 (Hina) - More than 50 percent of the Bosnian Croats
have left their homes since the outbreak of war, head of the
Bosnian Croat office for refugees Martin Raguz told a press
conference in Mostar today.
Of the pre-war population of 830,000 Croats in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, 14,000 have been granted a refugee status in Croatia
while 90,000 have found shelter in Croat-held areas in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, he said.
"More than 33 percent of them don't want to return to their
homes, which is very alarming," Raguz stressed.
He said that 30 percent of the expelled Croats had lived in
the areas now controlled by the Moslem-led Bosnian army while 20
percent had lived in Serb-held areas.
Only ten percent of the 800,000 non-Serb pre-war population,
remained in areas now controlled by Bosnian Serbs.
