MOSTAR, May 10 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation Minister of Defence,
Jadranko Prlic, told a press conference today that the Joint
Command of Bosnian Army and of Croatian Defence Council (HVO) would
be moved from Sarajevo to Novi Travnik, central Bosnia, within a
few days.
The coordination between Bosnian army and HVO has been
significantly increased lately, Prlic said, adding that his
government was preparing several versions of the Federal Armed
Forces Act.
The act would verify the army as a two-pronged structure,
"which had already been approved by Bosniac-Muslim side", Prlic
stressed.
Commenting on the military developments Prlic said the most
intensive fighting was going on at northern Orasje-Samac line.
Fierce clashes were reported on Mt. Treskavica, south of Sarajevo,
where "the situation was unclear." Prlic admitted that Bosnian
Serbs had retaken their positions recently lost on the Mt.
Majevica, east of Tuzla.
Asked about the recent International War Crime Tribunal's
intentions to prosecute some Bosnian Croats, alleged war criminals,
Prlic (who was also filling the post of the Prime Minister in
Herzeg-Bosnia, part of Bosnia-Herzegovina under HVO control)
replied that the Croat side had also informed the Tribunal on
crimes committed over Croat civilians.
"We are about to forward some 2,000 pieces of evidence to The
Hague in a couple of days," Prlic said.
Prlic expressed his view that Tribunal's action was not
jeopardizing Bosnian Federation project, saying a joint Bosniac-
Croat program for the return of the refugees would be completed
within next two months.
