SARAJEVO, April 5 (Hina) - Bosnian Serbs fired 13 mortar shells
at 11 a.m. today at Sarajevo's western suburb of Hrasnica, near a
UN supply road and the airport, the UN in Sarajevo said.
UN spokeswoman Miriam Sohacko said that an investigation was
in progress.
The 20km NATO-monitored heavy weapons exclusion zone around
the city bans the use of mortars.
Serbs also fired at least three shells at the northern
district of Sedrenik. The attack, which caused no casualties, was
reported by UN Egyptian peacekeepers.
But a civilian was wounded by sniper fire at 1.45 p.m. in
front of the Holiday Inn hotel.
The wounded civilian was Ljubomir Berberovic, former
Sarajevo University chauncellor and outstanding member of the
Serb Civic Council, a group advocating the unity of Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
Berberovic was taken to hospital in a UN vehicle, Sohacko
said. UN French peacekeepers responded to the Serb sniper attack
firing back from a 20mm gun.
