ZADAR, March 10 (Hina) - Advisor at the Russian Embassy to
Croatia, Minister Alexander Griscenko, is visiting Zadar-Knin
County.
Griscenko this morning met the county prefect, Sime Prtenjaca.
The pair discussed the possibilities for a peaceful reintegration
of the occupied areas into Croatia's legal system.
Griscenko is tomorrow to travel to occupied Knin, where he
will discuss the implementation of the Dec 2 Economic Agreement and
the political settlement to the crisis with rebel Serb leaders.
Russia's views on Croatia do not differ much from the views of
the international community, except maybe in a few details,
Griscenko said.
"I do not believe in a spectacular solution, but it is
important to continue with the peace process," he said.
"For Croatia, the question is not whether refugees will return
to their homes but when and how, by military or by peaceful means,"
Prefect Prtenjaca told Griscenko, asking him to convey this view to
Knin Serb authorities.
