ZAGREB, Feb 28 (Hina) - Members of the Human Rights Subcommittee of
the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe today met the
President of the Croatian Supreme Court, Administrative Court
judges and Public Attorney, Marijan Hranjski.
We discussed the structure and functioning of the judiciary in
Croatia, Vukovic said after the talks.
Subcommittee members were interested in what Vukovic thought
about judges being attached to political parties.
"Croatia needs time to realise what belonging to a party
really means, partly because we inherited much badness from the
former system," Vukovic said.
Subcommittee members today visited a jail south of Zagreb.
