ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - A newly-established Croatian parliamentary
committee for peaceful reintegration of the occupied Croatian
areas, today held a constituent session and adopted a framework
program for its work.
The multi-party 18-member Committee consisted of deputies
mostly from Croatian electorate units which are completely or
partially occupied.
The Committee discussed in detail the Z-4 draft plan, and then
adopted conclusions saying that the bulk of the Z-4 draft plan is
not in line with the UN Charter, or relevant international
documents on the protection of minorities' rights, or the Croatian
Constitution and the Constitutional Law.
In this regard the plan did not offer any real solution to the
peaceful reintegration of the occupied areas into the Croatian
constitutional and legal system, according to the conclusions.
All elements of the Z-4 plan that do not comply with the
Croatian Constitution and the Constitutional Law were described as
absolutely unacceptable, the conclusions say.
The conclusions also say that the Committee rejects any
attempts which question the full sovereignty of the Republic of
Croatia on the whole of its territory within its UN-enshrined
internationally recognized borders.
