LONDON, Feb 2 (Hina) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (EBRD) has granted the Croatian electric utility
"Hrvatska Elektroprivreda" a loan worth DEM 63 million for the
reconstruction of the war-damaged power grid.
The loan agreement was signed in London today by Croatian
Assistant Economics Minister Vladimir Kramberger.
Kramberger said Europe was confident that Croatia would pursue
a peaceful settlement to the crisis.
The EBRD has so far granted loans worth DEM 180 million. The
two previous loans were intended for the restoration of the flight
